Washington State Safe Fleet of the Year Award 

AUGUST 2011 – Auburn, WA:  Oldcastle Precast, Inc. of Auburn, Washington was awarded the Washington State Safe Fleet of the Year Award presented by the Washington State Patrol and Washington Trucking Association. The Safe Fleet of the Year honor was for private carrier fleets based in Washington State that drive under 5 million miles per year.

The Washington State Patrol reviews the safety criteria for each fleet company and makes their final selection for each award.  Criteria for this award include safe miles, overall compliance and providing a positive influence on others in the trucking industry. Recipients are honored for their superior safety achievements, outstanding commitment to industry-wide safety and extensive promotion of safety among all highway users.

Joseph M. Dilley Sr., CDS,  Director of Regulatory Compliance at Oldcastle Building Products Inc. accepted Oldcastle's Washington State Safe Fleet of the Year Award  on July 23 at the Emerald Downs Race Track in Auburn, Wash.  In addition, Oldcastle Precast was also recognized by the American Trucking Association and Great West Casualty Insurance Co. who presented them an award for their excellence in safety.

“2011 has been an outstanding year for Oldcastle Precast’s fleet and safety program,” said Joe Dilley.  “The hard work of both our driving and non-driving force helps to keep our roads and highways safe. I am extremely proud of the work that our drivers do each day that not only earned the company this prestigious award, but even more importantly keep themselves and the motoring public safe day in and day out. We are focused on continuous improvement in the area of safety and recognition like this confirms that our effort is making a difference.”
