Homeowner FAQWhere can I use this product? At the present time, the only place you can build with Oasis Wall systems is in the Northeast. As we expand our production capabilities around the country we will expand the market availability, but for the present time we are only producing the walls in the Northeast. How do I buy? Purchasing your Oasis Foundation Wall System is fast and easy. Please contact a customer service representative who can discuss your project, timeline and needs. We will work with your existing builder or help you to find a builder who already has experience with the Oasis Foundation Wall System. How much does it cost? The Oasis Foundation Wall System is a premium finished basement product that provides you with a nearly completed basement as soon as it is installed. The specific home design, foundation size, and options you need all impact the price of the system. For a price quote, contact us directly with your home design plans. Where can I see an installation? We are installing Oasis Foundation Wall Systems throughout New England all the time. If you want to see an Oasis System being installed, please contact us and we will notify you of an upcoming installation in your area. How much energy will I save? Energy savings is directly related to your geographic climate, the cost of energy, home construction, and other factors, however when your entire basement is warmer your house stays warmer. It is estimated that 20% of home's heat loss is through the basement. The Oasis Foundation Wall System can help to reduce this loss. Does the Oasis System cost more than finishing my basement after the fact? Not necessarily. We use only premium products such as 8 foot 6 inch or 9 foot tall walls, 6,000 psi precast concrete, EPS foam insulation and DensArmor Plus paperless wallboard. When you compare these products to the traditional 7-ft. 8-inch poured in place foundation typically with 3,000 psi concrete, no insulation or wallboard, it is clear that the Oasis System will cost a bit more. However, if you were to hire a contractor to finish the basement after the fact, the price would be comparable, and the Oasis System provides greater headroom / ceiling height. How is Oasis installed? The Oasis wall panels - up to 32 feet in length -- are built in our factory in North Brookfield, Mass., shipped to the jobsite via truck, and installed by our own factory trained installers. Once on site, the panels are hoisted into place and leveled. The wall panels are bolted together at the top and bottom of the wall, and sections are also sealed with a urethane based caulk. The typical installation is completed in just one day. How big are the wall sections? The individual wall sections are built according to the specific home design, however, we have the ability to produce 8 foot 6 inch or 9 foot tall walls that are up to 32 feet long. Can I use Oasis for modular construction? Yes. In fact with modular construction the Oasis Foundation Wall System offers some unique benefits in that the walls do not require any time to cure once in place. By contrast a poured in place foundation can require up to 28 days of cure time before the builder can begin construction. With the Oasis System, the builder can begin construction the day after the walls are installed. What happens if my basement leaks? Oasis Foundation Wall Systems come with a limited lifetime warranty and a 15 year warranty against leaks. Poured in place foundations typically do not come with any warranty. The Oasis warranty is backed by Oldcastle Precast one of the world's leading producers of concrete building products. |
