Because of our full line of enclosure products, we were able to provide complete protection for a variety of applications with our Christy R-Series, Christy concrete and Fibrelyte boxes.
In residential locations, we specified Fibrelyte boxes and covers with bolt down AMR inserts. For alleyways we specified Christy full traffic boxes and lids with ½” steel checker plates where meter boxes located in streets and alleyways were being destroyed by waste management trucks and other vehicular traffic.
Several OPES teams joined together to help solidify our solution. Along with our Regional Sales staff, Engineering clarified and validated test data, and Manufacturing worked around the clock to fulfill Sacramento’s weekly demand of up to 1,000 boxes and lids.
The success of the City of Sacramento Retrofit didn’t stop there for OPES. Many other water meter retrofits are in progress throughout the State of California, where OPES is providing the best solutions in the industry.
