Oldcastle Precast Lexington earlier this year completed and delivered over 22,000 feet of Kentucky Highway approved median barriers
for a state highway project just east of Louisville, KY. While producing over (1100) 20’ sections during the winter months of 2009, a new connection design was utilized that enables the barriers to interlock together as they are set in place. The general contractor on this project experienced efficiencies that approached a 50% reduction in the labor generally accepted for unloading and setting median barriers using a traditional pin and loop process.
