Mega Cast, a Division of Oldcastle was first started in 1993 pouring precast structures in an actual pecan orchard. In 2001 Mega Cast moved to John Dixie Harn Industrial Park in Pembroke, Ga. It then grew to be one of the most commonly heard names in the precast community, especially in the southeast. Then in August of 2005, Oldcastle Precast purchased Mega Cast. Oldcastle then doubled the size of the production area and built a 2000 sq ft. office building with a plant employee break room.
At Mega Cast we have 18,000 sq ft. of production area, three bridge cranes and our own Ready Mix plant. We pour structures that are less than 10 tons under an 8,000 sq ft. building with a 10 ton bridge crane overhead. We have our steel and wood shop under a 2,000 sq ft. building with a 5 ton bridge crane overhead. Then we have an additional 8,000 sq ft. building that we pour structures that weight up to 25 tons. Mega Cast is known for its customer service and timely deliveries. Our specialty is being able to get the product on the job in a timely manner and it being right the first time. Our sales team is “on the job” salesman; they will meet you on the job or in the office; what ever works best for the customer. We are here to meet your needs.
Our management staff has over 50 years of experience in estimating and designing precast to work in unfamiliar applications. Lake O'Donnell is our general manager and he has 10 years of experience in this field. We have three outside salesman. The sales team has over 30 years of estimating and designing experience. Our sales team is ready to help you and your team on your next project. We also have two ladies in our office, one whom is our full-time Safety Coordinator and the other whom is our Plant Accountant. We have 14 plant employees that are involved in the daily production.
Mega Cast has planed for future growth in a few different areas such as Reinforced Concrete Pipe, Box Culvert and Electrical Structures. These items are readily available to us now but we plan to purchase forms so that the product is poured at our facility and is readily available to you the customer. We also plan to increase our daily, stock forms so that we can get the job to you even fast. Also planned for this year is a stationary coring machine. This will allow Mega Cast to provide you with an even more accurate structure and a product at the time you call for that emergency structure.
