Southeast Precast located in Stone Mountain, GA, in the shadow of one of Atlanta’s major attractions (Stone Mountain Park) was founded by a local pipeline contractor in 1965. Our primary precast product was sanitary sewer and storm manhole systems; utility vaults were added in 1973; controlled environment vaults along with huts for telecommunication applications were added in 1982.
In 1991 Oldcastle Precast acquired Southeast Precast. Today, Our staple products are round manholes but we produce hundreds of different products such as electrical vaults, Telecommunication pads, box culverts and ConVault above ground fuel storage tanks, just to name a few. In 1997 Oldcastle completed a major overhaul of its plant creating a new batch plant and distribution system for transporting concrete throughout the facility along with new a quality control lab. We have 9 overhead cranes; 2 coring machines; 4 forklifts; and 2 manhole loaders. With our fleet of trucks along with our outside haulers we are able to cover a major part of North and South Georgia as well l as neighboring states.
With 2 other precast concrete plants and the recent acquisition of a precast pipe company in South Georgia, Oldcastle has a dominating presence in the Southeast.
