Vacation Home Patio, Seneca Falls, NY --The owners of this vacation home wanted an uninterrupted view of beautiful Cayuga Lake near Seneca Falls, NY. They achieved that with the use of precast concrete hollow core plank from Oldcastle Concrete Building Systems.
The schedule was aggressive from the outset allowing just a few weeks between contract award and delivery. The precast plank arrived by truck and our experienced erection crews hoisted the plank with a mobile crane directly on to the supporting structure. The installation and grouting were completed in one day allowing the home owner to finish his patio in record time. All radius cuts were made in the plant and fit perfectly in the field. No additional saw cutting was necessary at the job site. The design called for hollow core slabs to span 30 feet and covered almost 900 square feet. The plank used for this project was 10-inches deep and 4-feet wide and cantilevers over the space below.
