Sewage disposal systems with flows over 2,000 gallons a day need siphon chambers for intermittent dosing of septic tank effluent. The effluent is added to the leaching field at timed intervals for a proper distribution of sewage and optimal absorption. Various siphons, including dual siphons, are available.
